Cost of college was unchanged for all students at NorthWest Arkansas Community College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at NorthWest Arkansas Community College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arkansas residents paid $4,663 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 1.6 percent more than residents this year, or $4,738. Their price tag was unchanged from $4,738 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Arkansas residents. And about 3 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 81 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 602 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 121 students took out student loans totaling more than $474,764.

Including all undergraduates (7,979), 4,274 students used grants or scholarships totaling $14.7 million, and 1,213 students took out $6.3 million in federal student loans.
